A few years back I spent a week driving through the Scottish Highlands in a T4 VW camper van. It was perpetually rainy and cold, but I swear that even the most brutal weather could do nothing to dampen the raw beauty of this place. Only a few roads criss cross the landscape, winding beneath mountains and circling around deep lakes.
I think it’s easy to fallĀ in love with the place no matter what time of the year you go. And even though sunshine and warmth would have been welcome, there was something wild about the highlands in Autumn. I can’t wait to come back. The Scottish Highlands are raw and completely intoxicating.
